Eric Ezell, PhD
PRINCIPLE INVESTIGATOR
I study the ecology and conservation of whales and seabirds in the north Pacific. Most of my research is focused upon monitoring populations of threatened species in the traditional waters of First Nations where coastal industries are growing. My long-time collaborators include BCWhales, the Gitga'at First Nation, WWF-Canada, Marine Ecology & Telemetry Research, Cascadia Research Collective, Canada's Pacific Biological Station, and biologists at the NOAA's Southwest & Pacific Fisheries Science Centers. In addition to whales, I love Sewanee's trails and working in our garden at home.
